Ground floor of the Violet Gate.
The Violet Gate is a building in Dalaran and is the approved teleportation arrival site in Dalaran. In accordance with Dalaranian law all people who magically enter Dalaran must do so through the Violet Gate. Many higher ranking magi enter through the gate so fast you can't even see them before they continue their teleportation on to their location. Once in the city you are free to teleport anywhere you'd like or teleport out without teleporting through the gate again. It is overseen by the Violet Gate Authority of the Dalaran Ministry of the Interior.
Ground Floor[]
The Teleportation Grounding Crystal.
The ground floor of the Violet Gate is the location of the teleportation grounding crystal. The crystal is watched over by Archmage Celindra and her team. They monitor the incoming teleporters in the city and guard the crystal. The crystal is the reason that teleporters can continue to arrive safely in Dalaran even if they don't know exactly where the city is due to it moving. The teleporter can lock onto the crystals energy and transport themselves without needing to know exactly where the city is. The ground floor can be entered by the door that is across from Krasus' Landing.
First Floor[]
The first floor of the Violet Gate is the actual area where teleporters enter the city. It is a single room with stained glass windows that display the symbols of Dalaran. There are stairs from the first floor that go directly to Runeweaver Square. It is not uncommon to see people coming out of the building and into the sqaure are all hours of the day.
