The Valley of Heroes is the impressive entrance to Stormwind City. The Valley portrays the pride and strength of the humans of Stormwind and the greater Alliance by not only bordering the valley with massive stone structures, but by the five large statues of Second War alliance heroes, which idolize much of the Grand Alliance cause.
The Valley is well known for many things, including the customary position of the High Commander of Stormwind Defense to guard the direct entry way into the city, keeping an eye on all those who enter and leave, greeting or farewelling those who do. It is also customary for great tokens of victory to be hung by the gates just behind the General as a sign of success in battle.
