The Tuskarr (known Kalu'ak)are a race of walrus-like humanoids that inhabit the coastal region of colder lands, like the Borean Tundra, in Northrend.

History[]

Unfortunately, the Tuskarr's history is unknown to most as they have no written history. Most of the Tuskarr's history comes in the modern day with their interactions with the wilder world in the War against the Lich King and in the aftermath.

Culture[]

Law[]

The Kalu'ak rely on a communal system of justice, a system all Tuskarr take part in. The laws of this speices are not meant to punish, however they're meant to maintain community prosperity and peace.

Most punishments are usually mild, and usually end up including rumors, gossiping, and sometimes tempory ostracism. Blood vengence, however, calls for the Tuskarr to take anothers life.

Diet/Cuisine[]

The Tuskarr rely on a diet consisting mainly of fish and whale. Considering the Tuskarr live on the coasts, and small islands in Northrend, their diet is not surprising and is simply a matter of their environment.

Writing and Oral History[]

The Tuskarr do not have a written history or even a writing system, as over their long history they've had no need of it. With that being said, the Tuskarr do have a rich oral history and oral tradition. With Northrend being rediscovered, so too was this oral tradition. The Kalu'ak Elders, while responsible for leading their Tuskarr family groups and warparties, are also the historians of the Tuskarr. These Elders, male or female, are responsible for learning and passing on the oral tradition of the Tuskarr.
