Tanaan Jungle (Also known as Hellfire Peninsula) is a dense jungle region within the far east of the Draenor mainland. It is primarily inhabited by the Bleeding Hollow Clan and vast numbers of carnivorous animals and vegetation.
Tanaan holds the location of the ruins of the Dark Portal as well as the late base of operations for the Iron Horde which is now in use of the Fel Horde under leadership of Gul'dan.
The region fell under heavy siege during the Iron Horde Invasion of Azeroth, where Azerothian Heroes surged through the portal and destoryed it by firing the massive cannon which was planned to have been transported through.
It was later subjected to further conflict as both Alliance and Horde naval efforts were directed to the Jungles by direction of newly established shipyards and ports following the Emergency Admiralty Fleet Orders established following the creation of the Fel Horde.
