God King Rastakhan was the leader of the Zandalari Empire, an ancient troll civilization renown for its great naval force. Blessed by his favored loa, Rezan, he possessed beyond-average strength, swift regeneration abilities, as well as a longer life than what is typical for his kin. As a result, he sat upon the Zandalari's golden throne for over two hundred years.
When the Horde arrived on Zandalar following their rescue of the prophet, Zul, and Rastakhan's daughter, Talanji, Rastakhan allowed them sanctuary in his lands despite protest from the Zanchuli Council, who consulted the king prior to many decisions he made.
Though he survived over forty-six assassination attempts throughout his rule, including one by his wife. King Rastakhan was finally dethroned when he was killed by Alliance forces in the Battle of Dazar'alor, and was succeeded by his daughter Talanji.
