"An odd town in an odd Forest."
-Thane Bael I
Njorth, is located in the southern part of the Province of Cre'n Fa'earn, a province in the Principality of Fjallidh, in Alterac, inside the the Dark Forest. The town itself is rather small, and serves little importance to the province, apart from serving as a rest stop for travellers and merchants who are entering, or leaving the principality. Njorth is primarily comprised of wooden structures, save for the town's assembly hall which is built entirely out of stone, in a style resembling early Curmunian Era Architecture, and is the only building in Njorth not to have a thatch roof, instead the assembly hall has a slate roof.
The Town[]
Njorth, was first settled by a group of tradesmen who were travelling into the Fjallidh, some point prior to the construction of Dun Dyr. The original intent for the construction of Njorth, was to serve as a resting point between the Principality of Fjallidh and the Realms of Alterac, as the roads that travel through the Dark Forest appear to the traveller as long and unending. When Dun Dyr's construction had ended, the majority of travellers going to Njorth lessened, and the town experienced a big migration of its villagers, however only a small handful of villagers and farmers chose to stay behind.
In recent times however the recent Lord Mayor of Njorth, has managed to attract more travellers by hosting a hunting festival every midsummer.
