Ingvar Marwyn was a renowned, Stromic battle commander and author of a treatise on strategic warfare, which he penned in 488 K.C. Known as Ingvar the Cunning for his ability to make friends of many of his enemies, and for having never lost a single battle during his thirty four years as Jarl Marwyn, he was thought by some to have been able to see into the future. He married the King's cousin, Lady Loren Trollbane in 487 K.C. and their daughter Liane was the first Marwyn female to marry into Stormwind's aristocracy. Their son, Thoras Marwyn married Lady Rhiannon Karwyn who was eight years his senior to acquire two of her father's warships.
