"As the Lady of Edgeshore, I am hostess to all whom visit our land. I pray I have made our home both welcoming and impeccably captivating, worthy of bringing glory to the House of Waycrest and to the greater nation of Kul Tiras." | ||
- Dyana Itheca |
Edgeshore is a moderately sized division of land located on the western most part of the Drustvar coastline. Not too far from Corlain, the lordship is led by Lady Dyana Itheca, a Waycrest vassal and other minor lords.
Under the leadership of Dyana Itheca, Edgeshore has slowly developed into a small beacon for philosophy, education, and free thinking amidst the superstitious and antiquated thought rampant in Drustvar. Its most prized building known as Edgeshore's Great Library was commissioned by Dyana's father, the late Martel Itheca, before being expanded upon his daughter.
Additionally, Edgeshore boasts a small observatory, numerous theatres, primarily for ballet and opera hailing from the capitol of Boralus, oceanariums, museums, invention halls, aviaries, and coffee houses in its wealthier areas. Invitations to new allies from the Grand Alliance are a constant, the Stormwindian, Dwarven, and Gnomish variety in particular.
Edgeshore is relatively wealthy, its seat of Westercoast is perhaps one of the larger cities within Drustvar, yet not as large nor great in comparison to Corlain. Edgeshore's wealth arose after Dyana begun to diversify Edgeshore's exports, funding new manufacturing facilities, offering incentives of prosperity, and introducing new manners of teaching younger citizens modern fields of trade.
Edgeshore is primarily guarded and protected by the Western Legion, the Waycrest Guard's third regiment. Many of them hail from the Edgewater Military Institute, Edgeshore's military academy.
