Dane FitzSilver

Dane FitzSilver is a Gilnean by birth, but a legal citizen of Ironforge sworn to the Order of the Silver Hand in the Mystic Hall, and the Iron Throne.
Early Life[]
Dane FitzSilver is a bastard of the Silverlaine lineage, his grandfather having been Baron Silverlaine, the last reigning Baron. He was raised by his mother in Pyrewood, and his father made sure he was given arms training by Commander Springvale. When he was twelve, he was sent to Stormwind, to be entered upon the rolls of the Silver Hand.
Aspirant and Initiate of the Silver Hand[]
FitzSilver was a middling attentive Aspirant. He showed a preference for the arts of combat, which delighted his teachers, and a penchant for arguing with his teachers of philosophy and theology, which dismayed them. At the age of fifteen, Dane FitzSilver took his second vows as an Initiate of the Silver Hand.
While engaged in an assault against the Horde, FitzSilver came upon two Alliance soldiers raping a civilian orc woman, and attempted to stop and arrest them. FitzSilver was forced to kill them, and while found innocent of treason, Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker reluctantly released him from his vows and removed him from the Silver Hand in Stormwind for political reasons. His connection to the Light continued, however, as did his penchant for argument and combat.
FitzSilver relocated to Ironforge, where he began an apprenticeship as a blacksmith at the Great Forge. After a few years of fighting against the enemies of Ironforge, and with the sponsorship of Beldruk Battlehammer, he became one of the few "Tallard" citizens of the city, and re-sworn to the Silver Hand under the authority of the Mystic Hall.
Paladin of Ironforge[]
As a paladin of Ironforge, FitzSilver was given discretion as to his assignments, although he was advised to keep a low profile in Stormwind. At loose ends, FitzSilver was advised to seek military service. He was recruited by the Draenor Offensive outside the Cathedral in Stormwind, and reported to Nethergarde, where his new unit was based.
