Caerwyn of Albia is a revered folk hero amongst the northern denizens of the Alterac Mountains, believed too have been an Arathorian born Human-Quel'dorei half bred who lived sometime during the Troll Wars. There are few details on this figure of legend, but it is widely accepted belief that Caerwyn of Albia was one of the first Alteraci Magi, that he played a major role in the Troll Wars as part of The Hundred, conquered the land now known as the Duchy of Aurellia and founded the House of Caerwyn during the aftermath.
There are numerous folk stories about this figure of legend, some are tales of heroisms and great deeds, while others are tales that are designed to scare children into behaving. It is rumored that only his descendents know the full story of their great ancestor, but it seems to be a secret that they guard well.
