The ancestral lands of the House of Marlfox, it is used as a base of operations for their neutral organization, United Aegis.
Only recently regained by the Lady of the house, Keely Marlfox, the farmstead is under heavy reconstruction, seeing daily use and supplies entering the homestead.
History[]
Founded by Garret Marlfox shortly after the end of the war against the Drust, the land was a gift to the clan for their efforts, from Arom Waycrest himself.
Soon, black mountain horses from Gilneas were being bred on the land, and known as sturdy steeds for soldiers and merchants alike, and favored horse of the Waycrest family for generations to come. These horses would become the smokey black chargers known from the region today.
Messenger crows were another famed export of the barony, smart and swift ebony birds who carried messages far and wide, and traveled on Kul Tiran ships for quick communication within the fleet.
Landscape[]
Starting at the base of the western wall of Arom's Stand and bordered by the Cresting River a gentle slope bears three lavish guest houses of Kul Tiran architecture, with beautiful views toward Corlain from their front porch, and the expanse of the Crimson Forest from the rear.
Just past these, and a small line of trees, begins the terracing. Rows upon rows of lush terraces lead down to the main farmhouse itself, situated on the lowest cliff just above the road into the Forest proper. A large, old, two-story farmhouse, it sits between two old growth trees, with a small storage shed, an herb garden and a small stable.
