The Barony of Balor is the land allocated by the Stormwind Peerage to the Island of Balor which encompasses the Port of Balor and Fort Balor, along with a small mass of farmland and forestland.
It's currently headed by a nameless Baron (placeholder for future story progression) by edict of the King.
Pre-War[]
Little is known about the Barony pre war. It existed under the Kingdom of Stormwind, providing decent fishing yields and lumber yields which only paled in comparison to Elwynn. History books would have little written on the subject aside from it once being the home of Riode Janiero, a priest of the Church of the Holy Light.
First War[]
The Baron of the land at the time was Arthur Eideric, the Patron of House Eideric, a small family who had deep roots in the History of Stormwind.
During the First War the Horde lay siege to it and the Stormreaver can took possession of it. THeir interest was possibly because of the proximity of the Tomb of Sargeras which was a fascination of thier Chieftain, Gul'dan.
Second War[]
Near the end of the Second War, around the time Stormwind was reclaimed and the Dark Portal closed, the Barony was retaken alongside the Island and holdings.
The past Baron, Arthur Eideric who was killed had no more living sons to take his place. Thus in turn the Barony became a plot of land for future Knights who would hold the title and lands for thier lifespan under order of the King. A series of nameless barons passed through as the Lord of the land, some ensuring it prospered, others plotting with more sinister forces against Stormwind.
Rise of the Defias[]
During the time the Defias ran rampant in Westfall and Elwynn, the current Baron who was further stripped of rank and whos name was blackd out of the history books aided with smuggling goods from Stormwind into Westfall and vice versa through the Port of Balor.
The King angered once the baron was discovered, sailed a fleet of ships to dispose of the rogue Lord and impose a new one to the Barony.
Present Day[]
Rumours surrounding the pas of the Barony tell of the night the Fort was taken. It was said that a house guard smuggled a babe out through a salley gate pas the horde forces, slipping under their nosds under cover of darkness and rowing across the water towards the coast of Westfall. If their is an heir to Lord Arthur Eideric, then this unknown man might just be able to stake a claim upon the lands should he come forward.
