Bananas are a sweet and rich tropical fruit that are enjoyed throughout Azeroth. They can be eaten alone or combined with other ingredients to sweeten foods. As with most fruits, bananas can be fermented into alcoholic banana beers.

Bananas originated from the large island of Tel'Abim on the coast of Kalimdor. After their discovery by goblin explorers, they have since been shipped throughout the world as a cheaply produced fruit with many applications. Goblins are extremely fond of bananas and are known to decorate their homes with banana wallpaper.
