-A segment from an old song about Abberthul

The city of Abberthul, known to Stormpike dwarves as Dynrdunthul, is located in the northwestern part of the Rithland Province, in the Principality of Fjallidh, and is north of the Thul River. Abberthul, is built into the southern area of the Hilm Mountains.

The City[]

Considered to be the an example of the height of Fjoric architecture, Abberthul was built by the Lord Architect Briarwald during the Theumundian Era in Alterac. The city is built inside Mount. Thul, a mountain that is part of the Hilm Mountains, inside all of the streets and buildings are carved out of the natural rock, there is also a small portion of the city that is built outside of the mountain. There is a small port in Abberthul, that serves as a shipping lane, and as a ferry that sails down the Thul River and arrives in Wallen.

The city is divided into five districts, there are two districts on the outside of the mountain, the Port District and the Outer District, and three districts on the inside of the mountain the Trade District, the Mining District, and the Craftsmen's District.

The Port District, is only a small dock that allows for the shipping of goods to and the ferrying of people to Wallen. The Outer District, named for being located outside of the mountain, is an extension of the Trade District, there goods from the neighbouring poor hamlets can be found. The Trade District, is built inside the mountain there rare goods and servicing can be found, the Trade District is located in the center of the city. The Mining District is located to the left of the Trade District, and is the industrial center of the city. Lastly to the right of the Trade District is the Craftsmen's District, where had crafted stone carvings can be found, also inside the Craftsmen's District, is the The Stone Halls where a group of Stormpike dwarves reside. The Stone Halls are renowned for their beauty, due to its mock Dwarven architecture, its numerous fountains, and its underground gardens lit by fluorescent rocks.
